Sound Effects.

Taliesin D & M have an extensive collection of sound effects, which are available as sets in the following formats from SOUND NARRATION:

Each set comprises of four compact discs each designed to meet the requirements of most drama lessons, plays and media productions staged by schools or colleges. The details of each of the sets are as follows:

SET 1

Discs  1 & 2 These contain over ninety effects per disc with categories including:
Domestic ( kitchen - bathroom- wash house etc ), Industrial ( hand and electrical tools and machinery etc. ), Sci-Fi and Horror  (ghosts, monsters, ray guns, space ships, dinosaurs, haunted house and dungeon sounds etc.), Panto ( giants footsteps, growing beanstalk , etc.),   Transport  ( trains - steam & diesel, cars-old and modern, horses & carriages, ships sirens, fire engine, police car, ambulance, old planes  etc.),   Warfare  (guns, cannons, swordfights, air raid siren, bombers & fighter planes, air raid, bombs & explosions),   Clocks & Bells  ( church bells, tolling bells, gongs, large and small clocks and chimes ),   Animals ( farm, domestic and wild ), People  ( children at play, 2 X table, crowds- in hall- angry- at party, clapping, cheering, baby etc.), Commercial  ( shop till, shop door bell, money, hardware clatter etc.), Gaol  ( doors, lock and keys, footsteps etc), Trades ( Blacksmith, Carpenter, Potter, Miner), 

Disc 3   This disc contains a series of sequences  to provide general background sounds for a scene or set. Each track runs for between two and six minutes and the start and end points are designed to enable the track to be repeated if required to produce a longer soundtrack. Sequences include : Birdsong - Thunderstorm - Blizzard - Busy Victorian Street - Rural Victorian Street - Old Pub (chatter, glasses, singing etc), - Waves on beach - Waves in cave - Docks (machinery - ships sirens - steam engines etc), - Lapping water - Rain - Battle ground (gunshots, artillery, explosions etc) - Aerial Dogfight (ww2) - Underwater divers - Countryside ( birds-farm animals - distant church bells etc) Industrial background ( machinery etc ) - Rainforest / Jungle - Night time (night birds and foxes etc) Building site.

Disc 4  Theme Music.   A selection of tracks produced to create background atmosphere including: summer days - eerie - sci-fi - stormy -- period -  chase sequences - church (organ  + choir)  - dream - moods (jazz - rock - classical - pop - club - blues etc) - countries (Japan - Swiss - bagpipes -Arabic,  Australian and many more ) - thriller and suspense music - spaghetti western ,  together with short pieces such as trumpet fanfares - orchestra 'crashes' - jews harp - impending doom - ghostly organ - sweeps and tribal drums etc).

SET 2

Discs 1 & 2 These again contain over ninety effects per disc, with categories including: Household -  including - washing machine - tumble drier - hair drier - sewing machine, fan heater, vacuum cleaner, sweeping , stairs, windows doors & general sounds - People including coughs and sneezes, snoring, footsteps, washing etc. The Office  - computers, stapler, hole punch, filing cabinet, paper, printer, scanner, telephone etc. Trade & industry  -The Dentist - the Barber - tools and machinery etc Animals ( farm & wild ) Crash Bangs and Wallops Crime & punishment - including- the burglar, the mugger, the bank robber, the safe cracker together with the capture, and punishment. Ghosts - Aliens including strange voices, sea monsters, alien talking, ghostly murmurs, swamp creatures, creatures from myths & legends, witches and many more, Transport - including cars, lorries, boats and aircraft. Sport - including cricket, swimming, darts etc. Warfare - including period battles, tank battle, Armoured train with gun ( firing ), 1st World War narrow gauge supply train and many more items. & Crash Bang Wallop - a collection of 'mishap' type sounds.

Disc 3 contains background sequences including - inside a railway carriage (steam train) - inside an electric tram - on a horse tram - inside a car - a Victorian workshop - the coal man - the dust lorry - near the motorway - inside an old office - the seamster's shop - the machine shop -  field radio station on a modern railcar, the supermarket background etc.

Disc 4 - Music disc - Music practice - (harmonium, electric guitar, piano, singing, etc) instruments being tuned - sounds of the recording studio, Public Address system testing, together with mood and period music.

SOUND EFFECTS SET 3 - PLAYS AND PANTO'S 

The following are reproduced on a set of four compact discs:

The Nativity Play including  sheep, travelling camels, shooting star, descending angel, knock at inn door, animals in manger - baby crying together with scene music-
A Christmas Carol including the sounds of the three ghosts, the churchyard, Knocking door, Christmas morning street sounds with church bells etc.
Jack and the Beanstalk ( the giant -Fe Fi Fo Fum, footsteps, the cow, the beanstalk grows, climbing the beanstalk, the talking harp, the magic hen, chopping the beanstalk, the beanstalk crashes and  the giants scream. together with scene music
Peter Pan including the clock, the crocodile, flying sounds, pirate sounds and fight together with scene music. 
The Pied Piper including the pipe, the rats, the church clock, together with scene music. 
Cinderella including kitchen sounds, the horse drawn coach, the transformation sounds, the clock at midnight, ballroom background crowd chatter, together with music for the ball and other scene music
Rumpelstilskin including the spinning wheel, the dungeon door, rumpelstilskin's fire and chant etc together with scene music.
Aladdin including the magic lamp, genie sounds, sword fights magic carpet. etc together with scene music.

Snow White including Mirror Mirror, The Dwarves mine and song, the spinning wheel , the Prince's kiss etc,  together with scene music.

Also contained on the fourth disc are sound effects and music that may be used in other productions including Pinocchio, The Three Little Pigs, Witches Cackling and laughing, Little Red Riding Hood, Humpty Dumpty ,The Snow Queen and Santa

SET 4

Discs 1 & 2 These contain over ninety effects per disc with categories including:

Domestic, D.I.Y & Garden (household chores& tools), Industrial  (workplaces and tools), Sci-Fi and Horror  (goblins,gouls.night creatues, aliens and many more, Transport (rail, road air and sea, Space (rockets, countdown,spacestation etc),   Animals & Birds (single sounds and native settings), Warfare-Land, Sea & Air  (period and modern war machines,bugle calls,charges etc. Commercial (retail and office), Bodily Functions (need we say more?) together with, Sports,Ganbling  & Games,  Crime & Punishment, The Wild West and many more. 

Disc 3 - Background sequences including, railway stations - rain - waterfall - period sea battles - fireworks display - modern office - Farm Animals - WW1 & WW2 Trench Battles-Ploughing - Loading bay - On board a Helicopter - Forest Birds & Textile Mill.

Disc 4 Music and inserts for Themes-Backgrounds - Chases & Drama.
